Video – CNY Fertility Injection Lessons: Ovidrel

Hi, I’m Lisa Stack, the CNY Support Coordinator.  Today, Michelle is going to teach us how to administer Ovidrel.

Michelle:  Ovidrel is 250 micrograms and 0.5 milliliter.  It’s a medication that we would give; it can also called your trigger shot.  It’s pre-filled and all set and ready to go for you to give your medication.  All you do is there is an air bubble in here.  What you do is you take your top off, and you will push up to get that air bubble out, and now you are ready to give the injection.  Your injection will be anywhere from hip to hip, below the belly button.  Wipe your belly with alcohol, make sure the alcohol is 100% dry, you will pinch your skin, inject straight in, push medication in, and pull straight out.  That’s how you administer Ovidrel.
