Embryo Donation Program

Embryo Donation is now another option available to our clients seeking to either create, or expand their families.

Often when families undergo IVF treatments, they are left with remaining fertilized eggs (embryos). This can place the parents in a difficult position when they begin to discuss what to do with the remaining embryos. The previous options available have been to donate the remaining embryos to research, keep them frozen, or to dispose of them. We are now able to add a fourth option, Embryo Donation.

The concept of the Embryo Donation Program is to match the remaining embryos to recipient parents who are interested in the concept of adoption, but would also like to carry the child and establish a special bond over the nine month gestational period.

Medical backgrounds of each biological parent are available for the recipient couple. This allows the recipient couple to choose the embryos they feel would be most suitable for the family they wish to create.

Embryo Donation Cycle Fee Schedule

Embryo Donation Fee is $2,500

What is included:

• FDA Testing for Male Donor
• FDA Testing for Female Donor
• Monitoring to include a Baseline Ultrasound with blood work and up to two Ultrasounds with blood work prior to the transfer
• Transfer of Embryos

What is not included:

• Embryo Donation Case Management Fee – $500
• Medications:

1. Progesterone in Oil – $60
2. Prometrium 200mg – $362
3. Estrace 2 mg Tablets – $50
4. Doxycycline 100 mg – $7

(these are approximate costs)

The Embryo Donation and Embryo Donation Case Management Fees must be paid prior to the start of the FDA Testing.

NOTE: An Embryo Donor Cycle will consist of three to five embryos created from the same donor couple.  In the event there are only one or two donated embryo’s from a given embryo donor couple, CNY Fertility Center will allow the recipient to choose one or two additional embryos from another embryo donor couple, this option will include an additional fee of $1000 to cover the FDA testing expense related to embryo’s from two different embryo donor couples versus just one.
