The best birthday present I ever received

After several years of trying to have a baby, my husband and I found out we were pregnant! Our excitement was soon replaced with heartache when I miscarried at 10 weeks. It was then that we got a referral to CNY Fertility. The staff was caring and very informative. Their analysis was thorough. With their help, we decided to try injection fertility drugs. When I was due to start my cycle I started a new job. I was told that they could not provide me with the time off for fertility treatments (I live far from the clinic and would have to drive over an hour every day or two for blood work monitoring). With a heavy heart I called CNY and told them that I could not do the cycle; however, I had already taken my first injection. Well, that one injection was apparently the jump start my body needed! Four weeks later I found out I was pregnant! My husband and I were very frightened and cautious because of my previous miscarriage. My pregnancy was not easy. I had severe morning sickness for 17 months. I had a very short cervix which required me to get weekly ultrasounds and steroid shots. The doctors assured me that I would never make it to full term. They even prepared us for the possibility of the baby not surviving. Well, against the odds we made it full term; 37 weeks and 6 days! My water broke on my birthday. Liam Christopher is now 14 months old and perfect in every way :-) Even when I told CNY I couldn't do the cycle, I continued to get e-mails from them and support. Thank you CNY! Jessica
