Mary & Stacy's Story:
My name is Mary and my wife Stacy and I were just blessed with our son, Bentley Greyson. Our journey started last August with CNY. My wife Stacy has struggled with fertility issues for years prior to me, having had several IUIs, two fresh rounds of IVF and one FET with no success. She was diagnosed with endometriosis throughout her infertility journey.
After our first appointment at the CNY Buffalo office, we were told that our best option would be if I could carry a baby myself. As scared as I was to go out of my comfort zone, I agreed without hesitation. CNY made that decision easy for me. I was diagnosed with PCOS and we understood that this could present its own complications in the process.
The staff there were absolutely phenomenal to work with and educated me step by step. After two IUIs we were blessed with a positive pregnancy test. Not only were they very good at what they do, but their confidence also gave us hope and kept our spirits high. We got so close with some of the staff and have given updates throughout our pregnancy. My wife previously dealt with a different fertility office and said that the two facilities and their processes are not even comparable.
Bentley joined us early at 34w5d and is healthy and doing great. We can’t thank CNY enough for helping this dream come true. Not only has this process been eye opening to me and what someone is capable of when stepping out of their comfort zone, it has been absolutely magical watching my wife’s dream of becoming a mother come true. She is such a natural and for years thought that this would never happen for her. We will cherish our experience forever and thank CNY from the bottom of our hearts for patience, kindness and being so great to work with! Bentley is a gift that will continue to give for the rest of our lives! 💙

Helpful resources Mary & Stacy found:
Stacy’s previous experience with infertility and extensive knowledge about the process.
Unique Moments:
Originally we wanted to follow through with reciprocal IVF, using my eggs and Stacy’s uterus to carry. Due to my diagnosis of PCOS, we were told this would not be the best approach. It was difficult for us both to initially wrap our heads around the change in plans.
Our high was of course the positive pregnancy test and confirmation on the first ultrasound that the second IUI had worked.
I think the main unique thing about our story is that we walked in with one idea of how we wanted to create our family, reciprocal IVF, and we walked out with a much different plan. Stacy’s journey to become a parent started seven years ago and I am so glad that I could make that finally become a reality for her.
Hope, Inspiration and Advice:
Keep an open mind to the possibilities and process. Be willing to adjust your expectations, keeping your mind on the overall goal, bringing home a healthy baby.
If it’s in your heart that you want a family, don’t give up. Stacy’s dream came true after 7 years. A true testament of having hope, adjusting expectations and not giving up her dream.
