Dori & Andrew's Story:

We began our journey in 2020, right after getting married. After six months without success, I underwent infertility testing and was diagnosed with PCOS and a uterus polyp. Fortunately, I became pregnant right after having the polyp removed. Seeing the heartbeat at my first ultrasound was breathtaking, but sadly, the boy stopped growing at eight weeks. Even worse, it was a molar pregnancy, which could develop into cancer. I was heartbroken by the loss, but we had to pause our plans to try again.

A year later, I started treatment at a local fertility clinic and had several unsuccessful IUIs. Without insurance coverage for fertility treatments, CNY is the best place for us to get IVF, and I was amazed by how much more professional they were compared to my local clinic. They were responsive and efficient, and their price was transparent and reasonable.

After two IVF cycles at CNY, we were able to have three embryos. Thankfully, one was successful, and in 2024, after 4 years of trying, I finally became a mom!

I’m very grateful to CNY for helping me achieve my biggest dream. Also the clinic and the staff and even the hotel in Syracuse made our travel experience so smooth and enjoyable—we even got to visit Niagara Falls! I’m definitely planning to return when we’re ready for our second.

The Moment:

I couldn't believe it when my pregnancy test came back positive. I hadn’t felt a thing after the transfer and had nearly given up hope, but it was positive!

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

Be sure to prepare yourself both physically and emotionally when starting IVF, especially emotionally. I was so determined to become a mom, and my mindset was that I would keep trying until my very last egg, so I expect failures and also try to find out the reason of the failures and prepare for next time.
