Pamela Platis, CNM, NP
Pamela Platis, CNM, NP, is an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner on the telehealth consult team at CNY Fertility, where she helps guide individuals and couples through their fertility journey. With decades of experience in obstetrics, gynecology, and infertility, Pam is deeply committed to educating and supporting patients as they pursue their dream of parenthood.
Pam earned her Certificate in Nurse-Midwifery from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn in 1994 and has been accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACMB). Her career has spanned multiple aspects of reproductive healthcare, including fertility assistance, midwifery, and even co-owning her own practice, Capital Region Midwifery, for over eight years.
Pam’s journey into fertility medicine was both professional and personal. Early in her career, she was introduced to fertility treatments as part of her first practice, and over time, it became a passion. Eventually, she found herself on the patient side of fertility care, giving her firsthand insight into the emotional and physical challenges her patients face. This unique perspective allows her to provide truly empathetic, patient-centered care.
At CNY Fertility, Pam meets with new and returning patients, reviews medical histories, orders necessary tests, and develops individualized treatment plans. She loves the opportunity to educate patients and empower them with knowledge about their reproductive health, always striving to leave each conversation on a positive and encouraging note.
Outside of work, Pam enjoys traveling, spending time at her “camp” on the St. Lawrence River in Alexandria Bay, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors—though she prefers camping with a few modern comforts. Her bucket list includes more travel, meeting her future grandchildren, and eventually retiring someplace warm.
Pam’s advice to those navigating infertility? Persistence, positivity, and an open mind to new possibilities. She is honored to be part of CNY Fertility’s mission to make fertility care accessible and to help create miracles every day.
