FAQ - Transfer Add-Ons, What are They?
Acupuncture has been proven to improve fertility treatment outcomes. It is recommended that you start 90 days prior to treatment but particularly important before and after transfer. Please reach out to our Healing Arts team for package offers.
This is a concentrate of Platelet-Rich Plasma protein derived from whole blood, centrifuged to remove red blood cells. This intrauterine infusion helps to improve uterine lining and implantation. Prior to this procedure, four tubes of blood are drawn then sent to the lab for preparation which can take up to an hour. We can do this at the same time as the HCG Wash, or you can choose one or the other. Please reach out to the financial team for cost information.
In IVF, HCG is absent in the uterus because the embryos are in a dish, not in the fallopian tube triggering HCG production. Placing HCG into the endometrium improves its “readiness” for transfer. This helps with implantation and is done the day before the transfer (or Saturday if your transfer falls on a Monday). It is your responsibility to bring the HCG with you to this appointment. Charges will apply for this procedure.
Essentially IV administered fat. Intralipids have been shown to improve implantation and reduce pregnancy loss by lowering the activity of the natural killer cells in our immune system. This can be done the day before transfer if you are doing HCG Wash or PRP. If you do not want an HCG Wash or PRP, we can do this on the day of your transfer. You do need transfer bloodwork (Estrogen and Progesterone) so this would be two needlesticks on the day of your transfer. Please be sure to order your intralpids from the pharmacy and bring this to your appointment. Charges will apply for your infusion.
