Tekla is a fertility coach and licensed psychotherapist specializing in fertility issues. Tekla believes in using mindfulness, meditation and breathing strategies to help her clients regain focus, clarity and calm during their fertility journey. With a variety of coping skills, she guides her clients through each individualized session with understanding and support. Going through fertility treatments can be challenging and overwhelming, Tekla understands where you’ve been and has the expertise to help you move forward. She guides clients as they learn how to open up about their journey and coaches them towards finding ways to cope with their challenges. Amira Clinical Social Worker with both a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Manitoba. Amira works with individuals and couples who are struggling with infertility. She developed and now facilitates the Mind-Body Fertility Group and an online Mindfulness Fertility Series. In addition to working with individuals, couples and families providing therapy in a secure and safe setting, Amira is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

Janis L. Scaturo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice. Janis received her MSW degree from the Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois. She has over 30 years of clinical experience. In her practice, Janis specializes in the counseling of individuals, couples, and families coping with various forms of childbearing loss. These include losses due to infertility, miscarriage, and stillbirth. Treatment modalities include progressive relaxation, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family therapy to help her clients in reducing the stress of infertility and assisted reproduction. Janis Scaturo is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the New York State Society of Clinical Social Work, and a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work since 1993.

Nicole Christina is in private practice specializing in the evaluation and treatment of eating disorders and eating-related issues. She is a graduate of Smith College School of Social Work. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Ms. Christina was involved in mental health research at Yale University, where she was awarded the A. Bartlett Giamatti prize for excellence. Ms. Christina uses a multi-disciplinary approach in her work, collaborating with the client’s physician and dietician, when indicated. She is a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders. She has given numerous presentations on the subject.

Penny is a licensed mental health counselor who works with adults in private practice. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and is a Certified Grief Counselor through Evergreen Certifications. She has experience counseling issues such as infertility, miscarriage, child loss, anxiety, depression, trauma and more. Penny has an interest in counseling people that are going through the fertility process at any stage including individuals that are ending medical treatments and need support. Emily has been working with individuals and groups in transition for over 11 years. Emily received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where she learned the art of fusing Western psychology with Eastern spiritual practices and belief systems. Emily is passionate about supporting people at various points along the “parenting spectrum.” This includes helping expecting, new, or experienced parents develop mindfulness and attunement in their relationships. It also includes supporting people who are struggling with infertility and pregnancy loss along their journey to parenthood. Emily works from a holistic perspective, integrating mind-body practices into the session to help support your growth and overall well-being. Emily has specialized training in pre-and-perinatal mental health and is trained in Levels I and II of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)—which is an experiential technique for working with traumatic or unresolved life experiences.
