Sperm Freezing
Sperm freezing or technically sperm cryopreservation is the process of collecting and freezing sperm in liquid nitrogen for some future use. Sperm can remain preserved in liquid nitrogen for decades maintaining its integrity for when you are ready to start your family.
Why Freeze Your Sperm?
The Top Reasons to Freeze Sperm
Cancer
Many men turn to sperm freezing as a way to preserve their fertility prior to undergoing fertility damaging chemotherapy.
Occupational Risk
For those in high-risk occupations where the chances of sterility are of serious concern.
Gender Affirming Care
Transgender women planning or undergoing gender-affirming care often freeze their sperm to preserve the chance of a biological child.
Postponing Fatherhood
Though fertility rates drop later in life than women, a man’s fertility does decline with age.
Upcoming Vasectomy
Many choose to take a little insurance policy out prior to a vasectomy in case they later decide to expand their family.
Out of Town Fertility Treatment
Perhaps the most frequently used reason for preservation. Many men freeze their sperm as they will be unavailable to be at the office when needed during their partner’s treatment.
Other Surgeries
Some surgeries pose a risk to a man’s reproductive system.

Use it
Whenever you’re ready, whether it’s a month or two decades. Your sperm will be sitting here waiting for you. And don’t worry – sperm can be frozen for decades (perhaps indefinitely) with very little effect on its quality.
