  • Chief Scientific Officer

    Dr. Werner Neuhausser MD PhD

    Dr. Werner Neuhausser is the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at CNY Fertility and supervises clinical research at the CNY Research Institute. His goal is to improve fertility success rates for our patients who come from various ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and are often excluded from research studies by fostering their participation in high-quality prospective clinical trials and fertility research. 

    Dr. Werner Neuhausser earned his medical degree from Oxford University, completed an internship at Imperial College London, a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. He holds a Master’s in Physics from Vienna Technical University and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from UCSF, where he worked with Nobel laureate David Julius. He has extensive experience in clinical and basic reproductive science and is currently the PI for a large $30m multi-center RCT funded by PCORI  comparing cleavage-stage and blastocyst embryo transfer in patients with few embryos. He also leads a basic science research group studying early human embryonic and germ cell development and has published in prestigious journals such as Nature. Dr Neuhausser is double Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and a member of ACOG, ABOG, and ASRM, and a Fellow of FACOG.

  • Chief Research Embryologist

    Olivia Pavlik

    Olivia earned her honors degree in biochemistry from Roberts Wesleyan College, focusing on apple phylogenetics. She began at CNY Fertility as a junior embryologist, becoming a senior embryologist and earning a master’s in Reproductive Clinical Science from Eastern Virginia Medical School, along with ABB Technical Supervisor certification. With over a decade of experience in one of the largest U.S. IVF labs, she is now the Embryology Lab Manager and Technical Supervisor at CNY Fertility, supporting and training across five labs. A member of ASRM, CRB, and AAB, she is pursuing a PhD at Old Dominion University. Olivia enjoys gardening, reading, embroidery, and family time.
