Ashleigh & Greg's Story:
My Fiancé & I tried for about two years before seeking out help. My OBGYN suggested we give CNY fertility a call for further testing. I suffer from hyperthyroidism and we also discovered some male infertility issues as well.
We did four rounds of IUI & timed intercourse. Both ending in negative test results. We knew the conversation of trying IVF was coming and possible surgery to see if anything was going on. Luckily we found nothing but was still heartbroken and confused after so many failed tests.
We moved forward with IVF. Our first transfer didn’t work. We tried again and got a positive test on the second round. Sadly our pregnancy ended at 6 weeks. I had a D&C done instead of miscarrying at home. We took some time off and COVID hit. Once cleared we did our third FET June 15th 2020 and it was positive. I remember heading in for my first ultrasound and tears streaming down my face out of fear. I couldn’t even look at the screen till our nurse said “its okay look, we have a heartbeat and theres the sac!” I had acupuncture done before the transfer and found that to be so helpful as well.
I ended up with severe preeclampsia so I was induced at 38 weeks & ended up having a C-section. We met our rainbow baby boy on February 18th, 2021.
