Ashley & Jacob's Story:
Jacob and I got married in July 2020 and we immediately started trying to conceive.
After a year of negative tests, we decided to have some testing done. All of our labs were normal, so we consulted with my OBGYN who wanted to try medicated cycles with Clomid. All six medicated cycles resulted in ovulation but no pregnancy.
After that, my OBGYN wanted to do an HSG. The HSG showed a possible blockage so we were then referred to a fertility specialist in Indianapolis (not CNY). His recommendation was to do a hysteroscopy so he could get a better look at things. We had the hysteroscopy in August 2021, and it was found that both tubes were occluded. He performed lysis of adhesions and removed a small cyst. After that procedure, IVF was recommended.
We wanted to do our research first. That’s when we came across CNY. We immediately scheduled a consult and discussed our options with Kimberly Mathis, NP, on October 1, 2021.
At this time, our plan was to do mini IVF. We had all of our medications sent to us and did our first trigger shot on October 26, 2021.
At our egg retrieval the next day, we didn’t get the best news. Of the ten eggs they retrieved, only three were mature, and only ONE fertilized. That was our one shot. So Dr. Corley scheduled a 3-day fresh transfer for October 30, 2021.
We were so hopeful for that one, because well, it only takes one! Nine days after transfer we had our first positive pregnancy test! And now, 9 months later, on July 11, 2022, our one-in-a-million was born. Briar Kate Rollins. We are so thankful to CNY.
