Courtney & Jacob's Story:

My husband and I met in 2013 and became high school sweethearts. We got married in October of 2021 and started trying to grow our family. After a year of trying, I talked to a co-worker going through infertility about CNY. She was going there for treatments and had nothing but good things to say about the staff and facility.

I had a consult in October of ‘22, where we did initial testing. I had an HSG and labs that were completely normal. We then went on to start IUI’s in November. By April of '23, we had completed 5 IUIs with no success. We took a break from fertility treatments for the summer of '23 and then had a consult to start IVF in August.

I had always wondered if I had an inflammatory condition because my sister has an autoimmune disorder, but my lab work all came back negative. After researching other possible conditions, I found the ReceptivaDX test on CNY’s website, it can help identify inflammatory conditions of the uterine lining such as endometriosis, without surgery.

My provider ordered me to have the test done in September ‘23, and the test came back with a positive result, indicating endometriosis. A relief was lifted from my shoulders because I finally had a reason for not getting pregnant.

In October ‘23 I started the IVF medications for the egg retrieval on November 1st. They retrieved 20 eggs, and I ended up with seven fertilized Day-3 embryos.

With the endometriosis diagnosis, I then had to do 60 days of Lupron injections to suppress the inflammation before a transfer. On January 23, 2024, our Day 3 embryo was transferred, resulting in a healthy and beautiful baby boy. Henry Paul was born on September 27th, 2024, the best day of our lives.

We cannot thank CNY enough for helping us achieve our dream of becoming parents.

The Moment:

The moment Henry was placed on my chest after delivery was a moment I will cherish for the rest of my life. To this day, I am still in disbelief that my body created this beautiful baby boy and he started off as a tiny frozen embryo. Being his mama is the best thing that could have ever happened to me.

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

My advice to others struggling with their journey is to reach out to people who are going/went through infertility. There are a lot more people going through infertility than you may think and the support is invaluable. I discovered CNY talking to a friend that was going through infertility and I later then passed the information on to another friend. Each one of us now have beautiful babies thanks to CNY.
