Jessie & Steve's Story:
My husband and I started trying for a baby of our own right when we got married. He has a daughter from a previous relationship who had been begging for a sibling. After about a year of trying naturally, I spoke to my doctor, who referred me to a fertility clinic.
Locally, we tried four unsuccessful IUI’s back to back. During this time, I had looked into CNY for IVF treatments. My local clinic had a BMI cut-off, and I had heard wonderful things about CNY.
Upon looking at the website and reading, “Everyone should have a chance to be a mother no matter your size or age,” I knew I had to come to CNY for the rest of our fertility journey.
Knowing I could still do all testing locally was a huge help! In October 2022, we started our egg retrieval cycle, which led to our 5 1/2 hour road trip from Pennsylvania to Syracuse, New York, for my retrieval.
When I walked in, I thought I was walking into our local ski resort spa, not a medical clinic! I was amazed at how great the atmosphere was!
My husband had his own waiting room while I went back for my retrieval. They got seven eggs! We later found out that only five matured and were frozen.
I immediately started my FET cycle. On December 7th, 2022, we transferred our little frozen 3AA Embaby.
When I tell you Dr. Corley was amazing, I’m talking amazing as in my husband compared him to Patch Adams! He was so gentle, understanding, kind, positive, and explained every step. He asked to pray with us for a healthy pregnancy, which I strongly believe led us to where we are today. On August 5th, 2023, our little 3AA, Kolton Michael was born. I cannot say enough positive things about CNY and Dr. Corley & staff!

The Moment:
I was too nervous to look at the pregnancy test when I took it. My husband and I decided to wait a full week from FET to test so I woke him up early that morning and handed him the test in the wrapper. I sat on the edge of the bed ready to cry at another negative test when my husband said, “I see 2 lines on here, one is just darker.”
I first rolled my eyes, then I was overcome with so many emotions I couldn’t even cry happy tears. I was in disbelief. In normal fertility journey fashion I rushed the bathroom to take another one and this time it was a digital test. It read read “pregnant.”
Hope, Inspiration and Advice:
I wish I would have just skipped IUI treatment and went straight to IVF. Never give up hope and keep positive.
