Kim & Doug's Story:

I suffered from endometriosis for 12 years. Over that time, I have had 3 laparoscopies and one ectopic pregnancy which resulted in the loss of one ovary and both of my fallopian tubes, meaning that my fiance and I could never naturally conceive a child together.

After doing tons of research, we decided to try IVF with CNY. I had a consultation on November 1st, 2021, and got started right away.

We had an egg retrieval in February 2022 and had our second transfer of a 3-day frozen embryo on March 7th, 2022. To our surprise, that transfer was successful!

On November 3rd, 2022, we welcomed a gorgeous, perfect little girl. After spending so much time devastated, thinking that we could not have a baby together, CNY's affordability and financing options gave us hope, and now I will be forever grateful as they made the impossible possible for us.

Thank you so much, Dr. Kiltz and CNY, for helping us create the family we never thought we could have!

Favorite Team Member at CNY:

Dr. Kiltz performed my egg retrieval and my successful FET. He was fantastic and such a joy to be around. Dr. Corley performed my fresh transfer. He was so kind and sweet, and he prayed with us. Nurse Ashley was there for all three of those visits and was wonderful. She was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Truly all of the staff that we met were wonderful.

Helpful resources Kim & Doug found:

I joined a CNY Fertility support group on Facebook that was extremely helpful when I had questions or just needed people to talk to who could relate.

The Moment:

The moment I finally got to hold my daughter, I was just in disbelief. The IVF journey was so draining physically and mentally, then I had a very difficult pregnancy and was so worried every step of the way. At the end of it all, I finally had this perfect little human in my arms that I never thought I could have. At that moment, I felt relieved, overjoyed, in love, proud of myself, and extremely blessed.

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

A piece of advice I would give would be to communicate through the process. When I was going through the entire IVF process and most of my pregnancy, nobody knew we were going through it and I didn't talk to anyone when I was struggling and stressed. I bottled up all of my feelings and concerns and it took a toll on my mental health. When I finally talked to someone about what I'd been going through, it was so helpful. Even if they don't understand your situation, it still feels good to vent and not hold everything in. You can find support groups as well. I joined Facebook IVF groups which were so helpful and a good place to find people to talk to.
