Lauren & Vinny's Story:
My husband and I started trying for a family in 2017. We were pregnant fairly quickly after we got married, only to have a miscarriage a few weeks later. We kept trying, only to experience miscarriage after miscarriage. I went to a local reproductive endocrinologist and he discovered that I had huge fibroids. I needed to have surgery as soon as possible. He said I would be able to start trying again 3 months after my surgery.
I had my open myomectomy in 2019, removing 11 fibroids. We were so excited to try again 3 months later. I was pregnant the first month we tried, and unfortunately had another miscarriage. The doctor ran some tests and said that I had a low amh. He said I only had a 5% chance of ever bringing home a baby. I wasn’t accepting that answer and I found CNY fertility. I started watching Dr. Kiltz on Facebook live and I knew he was the doctor for me. I scheduled a consultation and we decided on an immune protocol with letrozole and timed intercourse. I was pregnant my first cycle with CNY and I just had my rainbow baby in February. Thank you so much Dr. Kiltz. I am forever grateful and I cannot wait to do this all over again!

Unique Moments:
It is so hard being pregnant after recurrent miscarriages. The anxiety before every ultrasound/appointment is intense. Constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. I couldn’t breathe until I heard my baby’s heartbeat at each appointment. Every week that went by was an accomplishment.
Hope, Inspiration and Advice:
My advice would be to never give up. There was a time where I thought that I would never bring my son home. I had to remain positive because I knew that Dr. Kiltz’s treatment was going to be successful. He truly believes in everyone and it kept me going. All of the other doctors I went to wouldn’t help me. They said that they did everything they could. They wouldn’t even entertain the option of reproductive immunology. I cannot thank CNY enough for giving me my rainbow.
