Mallory & Greg's Story:

My husband & I were blessed to become pregnant naturally, just 6 months after we got married in 2013. We later began family planning when our daughter was 2, and that's when the start of our infertility journey began.

We started with timed cycles, vitamins, diet changes, exercise, and more. It later progressed into us seeking help beyond our primary care doctor and my OBGYN. We worked with a local fertility clinic that would later offer medications and perform 4 separate IUIs, which came without a single stroke of luck. At the time, it was simply unexplained infertility.

I decided to share our infertility publicly on social media, simply as a way to help others feel less alone in the journey and it served as a form of therapy for me, personally.

Someone reached out and asked if I had ever heard of CNY Fertility. I decided to look up the clinic and dove into all kinds of reading and success stories. We agreed this would be our next step.

After a new set of tests through CNY, it was determined that it was male-factor infertility. We began the process of IVF shortly thereafter and had a very successful outcome with it.

One month after our egg retrieval, we moved forward with our first frozen embryo transfer (FET). Unfortunately we had no luck getting pregnant with our first...our second...or our third transfers. I felt hopeless and wanted so desperately to give our daughter the sibling she had been dreaming of. We waited one year before pursuing treatment again, and lucky transfer #4 gave us our miracle. I was finally pregnant after 7 years of trying to conceive! What a feeling!

It was a journey of Faith and perseverance. Though it was the hardest road we've ever traveled, I knew in my heart our dream would one day come true. In June 2023, our beautiful baby girl was born. We are forever grateful to the wonderful team at CNY in Albany for taking such great care of us and for being there whenever we needed someone. They were compassionate, professional, and simply great.

Some miracles just take a little time. Stay Faithful & remember that God's timing is absolutely perfect!

The Moment:

My bloodwork results from my BETA testing were postponed and did not come through my health portal until early the next morning. I checked my e-mail at 5AM and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a value listed next to my BETA results. I woke my husband so quickly, I scared him! Such a happy moment!

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

Find others to connect with! It can feel so lonely to walk this difficult road alone but I found through a CNY Facebook group, that the page was a wealth of knowledge! I loved connecting with the other women to share ideas, resources, etc.

It's so easy to want to hurry the process, but all I can say is your Faith will be your greatest piece of armor in all of the difficult moments. Stay resourceful, try new things & keep an open mind. Don't give up!
