Marianne & Sean's Story:

Our journey to our sweet baby started 6 years ago in Canada. After several losses, the fertility doctor blamed my age for my losses (38) and didn’t want to change anything.

When I met with CNY, they were so open to protocols and ideas. Dr. Chang gave some wonderful advice about doing stacked retrievals, so from April to July 2023, we did four retrievals!

After 3 transfers failed, we did a diagnosis cycle, and tubal issues and endo were found. I got that taken care of in Feb 2024, and it was time to transfer again.

Our 8th transfer finally worked!!! Our sweet girl was born on 18 Jan 2025 and she is absolutely perfect. I’m so thankful for my miracle baby.

Favorite Team Member at CNY:

The nurses at CNY - Liz, Alex, auntie Shelly, Carrie, etc
Of course Dr. Chang! He designed my protocol, he did all my retrievals, transfers. He is so nice!

Helpful resources Marianne & Sean found:

Acupuncture

The Moment:

I figured this transfer failed as well but I went to Buffalo to get the blood drawn and can admit I was in tears with another failure.

When I was almost home I got a call from Liz and my angel nurses all screamed into the phone YOU’RE PREGNANT!!!! I was so shocked and just cried tears or joy!

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

I had completely given up hope after so many retrievals, transfers, and losses. I was 40 years old with diminished ovarian reserve and my partner had low sperm count with lots of abnormal.

Some of us just have a longer journey to get our miracles.

Looking back, I would have done a diagnostic cycle before doing any transfers. I did one after 3 failed transfers and we found endo. So I wish we would have started with that!

Also would recommend knowing how IVF works (retrievals and transfers). I found it helped me be less overwhelmed
