Natasha & Joseph's Story:
I have suffered with pcos, amenorrhea, absent periods from the very young age of 15, and ultimately unexplained infertility later on. I remember at 16 I had never even started my first period; so my mother took me to the gyne to get looked at, and that day I was diagnosed with PCOS, and was also told that day I’d never be able to have children of my own.
I walked through most of my adult life suffering in silence, with this huge void in my heart that I knew would never be filled. Becoming a mother was something so deeply ingrained in who I am as a person, as a woman but yet it was to never be and that thought crushed my soul for so long.
Fast forward to November 2019, my husband and I decided to seek infertility help/treatment through our local clinic. We started out with clomid and femara with timed intercourse; 2 months of that. Pregnancy test after pregnancy test all negative results...heartbreaking!! We moved on to trying injectables again with timed intercourse; 1 month of that...more negative tests, more heartbreak. The next step was to continue with the injectables this time with IUI...again even more heartbreak with 3 months of trying...and all had failed.
At that point, we both had decided to give up and just throw in the towel!! We were so mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted...our hearts were just broken!! So in May 2020, I had come across some information about CNY Fertility, and so I did my research. I was all in! After a couple of weeks of discussing with my husband, we knew this was what we were doing! With so many odds stacked against us, we knew IVF was now our only choice at growing our family. I made my consultation and in July I had my first appointment.
By August I had all my preconception testing completed, I had my meds ordered, in front of me, and we were completely ready! Instead of doing local remote appointments, we decided to travel and to keep our appointments with CNY only. My first visit was at the Buffalo office. My protocol was given that day and I started stims 2 days later.
In early September we had our retrieval in Syracuse. Our results were amazing! I still cannot believe it to this day! Dr. Corley retrieved 13 eggs! They were all mature and they all fertilized! Seven embryos made it to 5-day blasts and we froze all to prepare for our first FET.
On October 8th we returned to Buffalo for our FET with Dr. Chang. On October 17th our first HCG test confirmed we were pregnant!! Fast forward to today. We’re new parents to our baby girl Cora. I’m finally a mom! At 38 years old I never thought this was a possibility, but thanks to CNY we have our miracle!
One thing I think is really important for couples to know in this journey is to share your pain because, it is painful, and if you don’t share it with other people, then it’s all your pain, and we’re on this journey together!!

Unique Moments:
My expectations of becoming pregnant at my age were very low. I don’t think I could have achieved the results we did without CNY and the amazing team that helped us along this journey!

One thing I think is really important for couples to know in this journey is to share your pain because, it is painful, but if you don’t share it with other people, then it’s all your pain, and we’re in this journey together!!
