Olivia & Woody's Story:

My husband and I knew we wanted to be parents from the beginning of our relationship. I have a history of PCOS, and it took my mother years to have me, so we knew it wouldn’t be easy. 

It took us two years to have our daughter, Haddie. We visited our local fertility clinic and did multiple IUI’s before getting pregnant with our miracle girl. When our daughter was just 2 years old, we decided we wanted to try again.

We started where we left off with IUI’s feeling hopeful it would work like it did the first time. After several unsuccessful treatments, we decided to move to IVF and  CNY!

We initially landed on CNY because of the price. However, we had such a great experience with them every step of the way. After some surgeries where I had to remove my left ovary and tube, we started the IVF process. They successfully retrieved 11 eggs, and 9 were mature.

We went through five transfers before we got pregnant with our second miracle. Our baby boy was one of the last embryos we had (and the lowest graded one). He was born in February 2024. Although it took us a while to get to this point, it was worth every step to complete our family.

The Moment:

My son was born unexpectedly early. I had a placenta abruption and he went without oxygen for 8 minutes before the doctors and nurses resuscitated him. At the time of his birth, I had Covid. I could not meet my son for 10 days. The first time I held him was when he was 10 days old in the NICU. In that moment, I knew what a fighter he was. From his conception to that moment, he fought so hard to be here. I am honored that I was chosen to be his mom.

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

Take care of yourself. It is a roller coaster for all parties involved, but take care of yourself through it all. You are allowed to feel all the feelings IVF brings.
