Razel & Allan's Story:
My husband Allan and I have been married since 2013. After a year of trying naturally, I has an HSG check and discovered that my fallopian tubes were blocked.
My OBGYN told me that I needed a fertility specialist. I was devastated. As a woman, I felt like such a failure and I was depressed.
In March 2018 we went to a fertility clinic (not CNY) and the doctor recommended laparoscopic surgery and to plan on doing an IUI after the surgery.
After three failed IUIs we ran out of finances, yet our doctor wanted us to do IVF in order to get pregnant.
At that time the biggest obstacle was the cost of IVF. So we tried naturally for a couple of more years, but with no success. I got to the point where I was giving up hope of becoming a mom.
On 2020, I met a friend who was a patient at CNY. I mentioned how frustrated I was at the cost of IVF, and she told me how affordable it was at CNY.
In November 2020, I set up a consultation with Dr. Kiltz. We decided to do IVF on April 2021 and had retrieval and fresh transfer, but unfortunately, the embryo did not stick. I was very sad.
Since I had two embryos left, I asked Dr. Kiltz for advice for making this next transfer successful. We checked pretty much everything. I went through two surgery laparoscopic surgeries. We decided to transfer two embryos this time.
After two weeks, we went for my blood work the nurse said my level was high and that I was officially conceiving. Soon we did blood work and came to find that my numbers had doubled.
The nurse explained that I was pregnant. When I heard that news after all the heartache, pain, countless blood work, and missed work, the hours of driving to and from the clinic, I wept with joy and relief. It's hard to explain the emotions after nine years of struggling to get pregnant.
After five weeks we did an ultrasound and found out we we'e having TWINS!
I was crying again while the technician did the ultrasound. Then seeing my husband's reaction when he saw the babies on the monitor--he was the happiest dad in the whole world!
Meet Zenna & Zoie! They're fraternal twins. I gave birth via C-Section at 35 weeks.
I'm thankful for the nurses and the travel staff who walked me through step by step. A special thanks to Dr. Kiltz who did my two transfers. You're one of the most amazing people that I've ever met. Thank you...thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Favorite Team Member at CNY:
Special thanks to Anita, Dana, and all the nurses. I can't mention everyone. But I want to thank you so much.
