Wendy & Robert's Story:

We were married for 1 year and together for 6 years when we started trying, and nothing happened.

We sought treatment and did tests and labs. I had 2 laparoscopies, and it was determined I had Endometriosis stage III. I had another lap a year later to make sure all was removed, and my left tube was damaged.

I did 6 months of meds and timed intercourse, but nothing happened. I was disappointed. I did more tests and labs and decided I would go to CNY for IVF at age 40.

October 2020 we did a retrieval and a fresh transfer of 2 embryos. But it ended as a chemical pregnancy. In May 2021, I did a Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) with 2 embryos, but it failed. I was completely broken. I took time to heal. I did another retrieval at a local clinic and did a transfer there with 2 embryos in 2022, but it failed.

I was working part time at Starbucks for 13 months for their fertility insurance. Meanwhile, I went back to CNY for my FET for my last embryos from 2020, but this time, I decided to transfer 1 only. I was age 43 at transfer, and it worked!

He’s untested; I did little to no meds, as natural as possible, unlike all the other transfers, which were lots of meds. My pregnancy was smooth, with no symptoms, and I gave birth to a healthy baby boy!

Positive Affirmations

The Moment:

The positive pregnancy test moment was the happiest and the scariest at the same time. I had only dreamed of that moment before and I felt so lucky to finally experience it. When I had my C Section it was the happiest moment in my life to meet my child, love was the only way I can describe it.

Hope, Inspiration and Advice:

Many times I felt like giving up and I felt like my body was failing me. I continued to be strong and not give up after 3 failed times of IVF. I would expect the worst and hope for the best, it got me through. I was numb by the time I finally got pregnant. Stay humble, be strong, keep the hope. Do your research and follow your heart
